Hi, I have a big problem with Document Exchange: when I upload a file in any direcorty of the storage, I can see the file uploaded only the day after. The same situation appear when I create direcorties. I didn't configure any time-out operations or strange policies. Hi guys, I have Document Exchange 5.1 installed in DNN 5.0 I wish to block or deny the download operation of the pdf file types. Is this possible How can I do this Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter, We had a folder that wouldn't synchronize its contents to the DNN File Manager (despite correct permissions set, etc.) and as a workaround we attempted to make a new folder and move the contents to it. The old folder was: /Infodesk/h and s/training We dragged the contents to: /Infodesk/h and s/HS Training Once this happened, it was as though they had been removed from the old folder but a new copy was never created in the new target folder. Hi, I am running DNN 6.2.5 and DMX 6.1.4. I have a folder called Payroll that contains a folder for each user. The user folders are named the same as their DNN UserNames. The root pattern of the DMX instance is '&91;user:username&93;'. Whenever a user logs in, they can only see thier own folder and the documents contained therein. Hi All, We need to setup an archival system for documents stored in DMX. The idea is that administrator should be able to set a expiry date or Period (e.g 60 days) when the old documents will be archived and probably moved to a separate storage or folder outside the Live DMX storage structure. Files disappear after moving to a different folder 3283 3

We created a new folder at the same level as an existing one, and when we dragged the files from old to new they disappeared from the old but didn't appear in the new. The files are still there (the old links, at least some, still work) and there are records for them in the Entries table...but they don't appear in the folder list in DMX. Both folders display as empty.

Does anyone know how the files are renamed when they are being uploaded So far I have down that it uses 'file_date_time__portalid.extension' how are the letters after the time and before the portal id generated Please and thank you.

Error uploading powerpoint file 3618 7

I have a user trying to upload a powerpoint file to one of my document portals and it won't let them. It says 'An Error has occured'. It is only for a powerpoint file. Word Documents and PDF's are no problem It there a setting in the system where you can specify what file type are allowed I can't seem to find it if there is. Thanks, Dan

I finished testing the structure on our development site and now installed in our product website. Everything was great until I got to the storage settings. Hi when I make a link to a file stored on S3 and i click on it for download it, the browser link was redirected on S3 storage link. In this way the transfer is only between the surfer and s3 not my webserver, but in this way the surfer can share the link to the file to other user The file stored in S3 must be public Fabio

I have installed DE 6.1.3 and have a Doc Exch Admin Instance running. When I create a new folder in the Tree structure it displays on the right-side Folder/File window as locked. It does this for all folder files created. What am I doing wrong What's the permission/configuration issue

We have a database that is replicated (sql databasse replication) once an hour between a shorebased installation and installations on vessels (satellite communication). Each installation has a web server and dmx database and documents stored in files.
Documents are also replicated once an hour (file pull using wget).
Documents are indexed for search when stored. A document that is stored on one location will not be indexed on the other locations.

Hi all, here is the issue i'm facing. Whatever file gets added through the dmx interface after the upgrade to 6.01.05, we get error 404 when trying to access the file. All i have found so far is that in the database table: DMX_ENTRIES, any file added after the update has a / befor the filename in the ENTRY column. EX.
