How do I add sub folders and set permissions? 4993 11

Hi,
I am evaluating Document Exchange Version 4 and have some questions:
1) How do I create sub folders e.g. Finance, Sales etc..
2) Where do I set up which users can add/edit/delete documents and which users can only view. Only a user set as administrator can do this at the moment.
I have looked through the documents and cannot find this information. Your version 1 manual shows a screen that I cannot seem to find.
I am running as localhost at the moment.
3) Is there a step by step tutori...

Logged in as 'host' (I know, I know) tried to edit the syntax in the first of the default notification emails (EMAIL DMX NOTIFICATION), swithced to raw text editor (was having issues with curly braces disappearing in rich) copied changes into the editor, saved and then got this:
A critical error has occurred.
Reference to undeclared entity 'nbsp'. Line 5, position 112.
Can still view the other email templates in the list but am wary of destroying them too.
Is there a way I can brin...

Simple list of docs in a given folder 3893 1

I want a way to just present a simple table of the documents in a given folder, instead of the full interface (toolbar, folder tree, file details pane etc). I know that a static list could be generated using the Reports module, however I still want the user to be able to perform all the actions on documents (download,edit, subscribe etc). I just want a stripped down interface, something that would look like a simple table of documents (rather like the DNN Documents module).

Is there a way to create a list (similar to the list for unapproved items) that can list the most downloaded files, the 10 newest files, and then a list that shows those items that are your favorites (most visited by user or manually tagged as favorite). If not an inherent feature could this be custom added at a cost

I've been able to successfully upload files of over 1GB, but not 2GB.
I've read that 2GB is the limit. What is the reason for that Is there a way I can force this in there Is there some sort of server utility that I can run that would get a file in there that is over 2GB Any options at all no matter how extreme

Hi Peter,
Something that would be helpful as a future enhancement.
It would be nice if there were a visual clue on a file that it is subscribed to (e.g. a modified Icon). I know there is the Subscribed Content folder, but if you are browsing folder contents, it would be good not to have to right click to see if you are already subscribed, or lose your place by going down to the Subscribed Folder to check.

Hi Peter,
I saw several threads that ask to hide the treeview pane and the detail pane .
Basically, use the DMX as highly customize grid control .
I also read that some ask to add column with download link.
When do you intend to develop these features
I design new extrant web site and would like to use DMX module ... but I cannot use it as it is now.

Menu Localization DefaultMenu.resources 4390 5

We have for the localization from the menu copy the File DefaultMenu.resources and renamed to DefaultMenu.de-DE.resources then we have localized all values what needed but the localization is not used.
We have clear the cache, disabled compressing, iisreset but only EN-Localization is displayed.
So we have for a Test the DefaultMenu.resources replaced with our localized Version and the Menu is displayed in de-DE so we have verified that our localization file is ok.

I have two problems with the notification mail:
* The 'mail-merge' fields in the notification mails still don't seem to work in DMX 4.00.06. See example below.
* I made a dutch translation of every notification mail but this version isn't used. The locale in the user profile of my test user is set to dutch. The xml and xsl files of the translation were created in the template folder.

Hallo,
I localized the entire module in dutch. But the confirm message you get when you delete an item seem to be hardcoded in DefaultMenu.resources.
Will this be changed in the next version
The site is dutch only, so I could change it in de DeFaultMenu.resources for now.

Weird Issues with DMX4 4685 2

I am having the following weird issues with DMX 4. I am running DMX 4.0.6 on DNN 4.5.5 with IIS 6.0 and using IE 6.
I have one DNN instance with multiple child portals. One of the child portas using DMX has a unique DNS. In this portal I am able to upload new documents and open folder in Windows explorere, but Open in word, Excel etc launches the respective window, but does not open the document.
The other child portals have URLs similar to http://myparentportal.com/childport...

entry edit, version, and log 4131 1

I have been unable to edit any entries, upload versions or view file logs. Through reading the forums, I deduce that when I click the Description for an entry, I should be taken to a screen that will allow me to do these things. Currently my browser just wants to download the file when I do this. I have this version installed: Bring2mind.DMX_03.05.02_NET2.zip and running DNN version 4.0.2.

Hi,
I have a serious problem with my DMX4 module. Some users are reporting this error. The whole module fails to render and the following error is displayed:
A critical error has occurred.'
Have you seen this before I cannot replicate it on any of my computes. I have tried it on several different OS/browser combinations but can't replicate.
The users that reported it are runing IE7 on XP.
I need to resolve this urgently.

If I try to subscribe to a folder or item in 4.00.04 I get a 'Data cannot be loaded' messagebox appear and the subscribe does not take effect.
