Powerpoint and German Umlauts in path 6109 1

Hi Peter, I noticed a weiredWebDAV&160;issue:
If the path to a PPT file contains an Umlaut, Powerpoint'07 will throw a security message, afterwards the whole Vista machine will hang. I can not monitor any&160;issues with DOC files in the same folder, WinWord works perfect. If I remove the umlauts from the path, Powerpoint has no problems.

If I create a webpage in DotNetNuke, and I point to an html page that is stored in DMX using the WebDav formatted URL, (i.e. www.mysite/dmxdav.axd/path/to/file.html), then IIS serves the web page, and I can see it just fine.
If I reference a JPG file using a relative reference from within file.html, say 'images/picture.jpg', then IIS says the file can not be found.&160; I get the same 404 message if I try to access 'http://www.mysite/dmxdav.axd/path/to/images/picture.jpg'.&160; Does this have...

Not showing 'Open in Windows Explorer' 3754 2

I have DNN 4.9 and DMX 5. When I right-click a folder or a file, it doesn't show the choice of 'Open in Windows Explorer'. Also, if I try to add a Network Place manually, it won't authenticate me.
So I have two questions. How do I get the right-click menu item, and which account am I authenticating with, the dotnetnuke account or windows account

Hi,

Last week we installed DMX 5.0.2 in a DNN test environment. Since this installation we noticed over 600 warning events in de IIS servers application event log. The error is 'An unhandled exception has occured', process is w3wp.exe and the application path points to our DNN test environment. The exeption message is 'Path PROPFIND is forbidden'. These events occur exactly every 5 minutes. The only DNN task that has a 5 minute schedule is DMX's ScheduledTask.

Okay, I'm seeing that if you use WebDAV, you can use windows explorer to do a lot of your work.
How does it all work&160; I'm looking for instructions of how to use it, and I'm not finding anything.&160; If I open windows explorer, what should I be able to do.&160; Will the users be able to do the same thing&160;

Hi!
I've installed DMX onto our dev copy of DNN. When I try to open something in Windows Explorer, it asks me to authenticate. I know you've probably answered this question 100 times. But what might be unique about our configuration is that the dev server is on the DMZ, and DMX is configured to access a UNC that is inside the network.
Have you run into this kind of situation

I've been trying out the webdav which seems to work OK except the 'Last Modified' field in the details, does not update after a webdav edit and save. Is this a bug

Dates in the Versions List Are The Same 3439 1

In DMX 4, I have realized that all of the dates under the Versions heading when you click on the file to update it are the same.&160; If you open up the document in Word or Excel and change it then refresh the screen in the DMX, the version dates change to the date that you changed the document.&160; This is not like in the old DMX 3 where the version dates would be different and reflect when the document was changed.&160;
Is there a fix for this issue

I’m having a few problems with WebDAV and need some help please…….

1) When viewing the DMX tree in the module and then select “Open in Windows Explorer” it doesn’t open to the actual WebDAV location it opens a Windows Explorer window but shows “My Computer” instead with all drives showing.

I am having issues opening in Word. When I use the open in Word function I get a username/password box I can download with no problem.
I had to reinstall the config to get the open in Word function to work. I made sure that WebDav is prohibited in IIS and that only&160;basic authentication is turned on.
Any help would be appreciated.

When we try to open a file in Word or Excel, WebDAV is trying to open the file based on the name (formerly description)&160;of the document and not the file name. However, when we download a file it works perfectly and reads&160; the file name. Why is it reading the name on open and not the file name

I made all the DMX-webdav settings in IIS, but webdav is not working correct:
Logged in as host-user. Using DNN 04.08.00 and DMX 04.03.02.
- Windows Vista and Windows XP:
-> Open in Windows Explorer ask for user/password. Administrator or DNN-host account doesn't work.
-> Open in Work ask for user/password too. nothing works.
-> Adding the server as network connection doesn't work: you do not have permission to access this Web Folder Location
Somehow I managed to make a network connection....

Single Quote in Folder Name 5623 1

It has recently come to my attention that when you have a Single Quote(') in the folder name you cannot open that folder directly.&160; When the quote is removed the folder opens just fine.&160; The error that is returned is 'Expected ')''.&160; I've tried using two single quotes in the name and I get the same error message. It comes across to me as if javascript is not able to terminate the string properly.

Hi,
I have configured WebDAV and DMX 4 as per the documentation and I am now facing a PopUp of Windows login with username and password to be entered.
The popup is coming ONLY when i right click any folder in DMX and select 'Open In Windows Explorer'.
Very strangely If I cancel that pop up the WebDAV Folder Opens up In Explorer fine with Documents displayed in the window.

So I think permissions are configured fine, but still I am missing some other thing which I am unable to detect. ...

I've noticed a weird behavior when I right click and select 'Open in Windows Explorer' I have the following folder structure:
Clients
Clients By Name
When is A 'Test Client2 Hosp' it opens fine.&160; When is 'A Test Client2 Hospital with a long name' it will not open in explorer.

I have installed DMX 4 and am having some problems with the WebDAV component. When I enter the address&160;of&160;\\abc\dmxdav.axd (abcis a dns pointer) I am prompted for a password. No matter what I type in i am told it is incorrect. I thought perhaps it was a bad AD connection so I tried to login with the host account and still the same thing. I have tried local admins, domain admins, users that we verify work in the Portal but still i get logon unsuccessful. Any help
