Hello,
I have our site hosted on WebSecureStores and they tell me that they do not make IIS changes for individual sites.&160; Since that would preclude our using Webdav, should I have the option checked or unchecked in the Admin options

'You will be challenged to identify yourself when necessary and a cookie is stored at the client. However, the cookie for WebDAV is not the same as the one for the browser. This is a technical issue and has to do with the WebDAV protocol. Some Windows XP machines have a broken Web Folders installation. Microsoft includes a Web Folders repair utility built in to Windows to correct the problem. Use the following steps to fix the problem:
Click on the 'Start' menu in the lower left corner, and select 'Run...'
Type in 'webfldrs.msi' and click the 'OK' button.
Click on the 'Select reinstall mode' button.

I am running Vista Ultimate with Office 07, I can open up a document using WebDAV but when i go to save the document I get the folloiwng error message: 'There has been a network or file permission error.&160; The network connection may be lost' and the file I was working with, ends up with all data being lost.&160; I also get a similar error when I open the folder in Explorer and try to copy folders.&160; I'm able to open in both Word or Explorer but I am unable to make changes, and I...

Hi,
&160;&160;&160;&160; I am using webdav for accessing an application deployed in JBoss. Basically the application is working fine with MS Office webdav. I am able to view the folders, files,etc. I am trying to access the application through windows explorer webdav. I am able to login and see all the folders and files. But each time I try opening a MS Office file (Excel, Word or ppt), I am getting the login screen again asking for credentials.
Is there any work around for this...

Just wondering if anyone could help.
I currently operate DMX3 but are trying DMX4 and have a few questions:-
I've setup a network (webdav) folder on the c:drive and given access permission to everyone on the computer.
Installed DMX4 and under options changed the repository location to reflect the location of the webdav folder.&160; When I update I get the message: The path cannot be accessed. Please check that the worker process has full access to the path.

Hi all,
I need some help with the 2 following issues.
1) How can I index files on a server different from the web server where DMX WebDAV runs
This need is brought on by 2 issues. First, the files must not be renamed when uploaded, and second,&160;they're fairly big (30Mb). We decied these files should be stored on a file server rather than on the web server. How can these files be indexed

I'm using WebDAV to upload some Folders and Files to our Server that are about 1-2 MB in Size and for the most part they upload just fine, but every so often we get this message&160;in the little box that pops up on the screen 'An Error Occurred Copying Some or All of the Selected Files'. The files are mostly PDF's right now. Any ideas Also I've got the Maximum File Size and TimeOut in the Web.Config set quite a bit higher than any of these files should require. Thank You in advance.

I have recently upgraded from 3 to 4. I can download documents and open the document but I can not open documents in their proper application using the 'Open in Word' option.
In fiddler I found the following

Hi,
I am right now implementing DMX4 Pro and so far it works - if there wasn't a small, but important issue. I want to allow users to take advantage of WedDav, but it only works if I am logged in as an admin ... as soon as I use a normal account, I do not see the 'Open in Browser' button. Of cause I have allowed every user to use WebDav and also the particular groups.

I am new to WebDAV so this may be obvious to everyone else.
While using a DMX module where I have full permissions to the folder (View, Edit, Add, Approve) I right-click the folder then click Open in Windows Explorer.
Then I get authentication Windows dialog. So what User Name is it asking for
Where do I create these users and how do I apply the permissions to the files that are hosted by DMX
Also, does DMX control access at this point or do I have to setup permissions for each user comple...

Hi Peter, I'm trialling DMX 4 and can't get WebDAV to work. Config is DNN 4.8.2, DMX 4.2.1, Windows Server 2003 and SQL Express. I noticed you asked someone else about SharePoint - not sure if it is important, but we also have WSS 3 running on the server. Also, the site is running as a virtual folder under Default Web Site in IIS 6 - also not sure if that is important.
